Survival, Co-op & Crafting - Something is Wrong With My Dog
How Survival Mode works, how 8-player co-op runs, and how building, sleeping, and crafting fit together. The verified rules of staying alive until morning.
The game ships with two ways to play: Story Mode, which follows the plot around Jerry and Bob, and Survival Mode, which drops you into the same world with no story and one job — survive. You can play solo or bring up to 8 players, on servers that hold 20. Building a camp, placing a bed to sleep, and gathering resources before dark are the core loop. These pages explain each system using only confirmed behavior, and flag the numbers that still need testing.
Story or Survival?
Story Mode follows the plot. Survival Mode is the same world with no story and one goal: make it to morning. Badges like Still Breathing and Night Shift are earned there.
